Library Arts and Cultural Training Series
October 6, 2009 -- CRPLSA will sponsor 12 Library Legacy Programs and Art Partnerships continuing education events around Minnesota during October and November with a goal of enhancing collaborative programming between libraries and community arts organizations. The featured speaker will be Leah Hughes, Children and Youth Program Director, at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts. HR Training at Round-Robin Venues
August 24, 2009 -- The Council of Regional Public Library System Administrators (CRPLSA) will host Ann Goering in a series of human resourses managenemt workshops. The all day session entitled: Personnel Management in the Public Librarywill be conducted around the state in six locations listed below beginning September 15, 2009 and concluding September 24, 2009. Ms. Goering is an attorney specializing in labor and employment law. Workshop topics will include hiring, orientation and training, relevant statutes for employers, dealing with difficult employees, and employee rights. Each session will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is free to all members of the Minnesota Library Systems. Lunch will be on your own.
