Melissa grew up in central MO and has always loved libraries as a source of community, entertainment, and of course books! This love of community and information lead her into academic and public librarianship first through her undergraduate career at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO and then her time at the public library in St. Charles county. After earning her Master’s in Library and Information Sciences from Emporia State University in Overland Park, KS, Melissa has worked to connect her community with the resources they need and the materials they expect from the library. She is excited to put her skills to work for the Kitchigami Regional Library System as director and to work with the excellent staff in meeting community needs.
